Clannad Episode 4

This episode starts more normally than the rest but… by the time it ended I had already given up on every guess I made this far…

First of all Nagisa didn’t get suspended, but she was told that since the theater club was closed down she can’t use any way of ‘publishing’ to attract new members. The only way to get new members for the club, and open it again, is to find people that are willing to participate in the club themselves.

Youhei, after spying on Tomoya and Nagisa talking, implies that the reason Tomoya got so involved with club activities is because he’s dating the girl. Of course Tomoya denies it, saying that Nagisa’s family run a bakery and since he is helping her out her mother lets him eat some of the really good special bread she makes (???!!) for free. And of course of the sake of the free-bread eating Youhei decides to tag along with Tomoya and Nagisa for their members-hunt.

They manage to get Kyou and Ryou… but not before Youhei actually tells Ryou that Nagisa wants to confess her love to her, ending up with a rather yuri scene between the two girls (because of the misunderstanding), a rather perverted Youhei and Tomoya and a very pissed of Kyou. But none the less the two girls agree to help but state that they need to get more members, if they want to revive the club.

They ask Tomoyo for help but she tells them she can’t make it, although she wouldn’t mind, because she has to prepare for the student council president election. (Could she be aiming for the spot? She is cool enough…) Tomoya asks Kotomi too, but I can’t really figure out if she will or won’t help since she wasn’t making any sense (as usual…). And the last one left to ask was Fuko-chan….

And this is where things start to go wrong with my theory. If you scratch the part where suddenly in this episode everyone seems to notice Nagisa when till the last one no one paid any attention to her there was still some hope in my theory of Nagisa being the ghost of the girl from the car accident. But apparently she isn’t…

Fuko had asked Tomoya to attend her sisters wedding. She told him that she used to be an art teacher in this school but since she left 3 years ago there were no students left in the school that knew her. She’d been making those stars and giving them out to people thinking that they would come to the wedding in return.

When Tomoya and Nagisa find her and ask her for help she tells them that she can’t make time for the club since she is always making her stars. When Tomoya points out that she must have some free time between school and home, she tells him that she doesn’t even go home. Ever since she almost got hit by a car, she woke up in school and had been there making the stars ever since.

That’s when Nagisa tells Tomoyo that she knew Fuko’s sister from before. Apparently the teacher’s sister got in a car accident and has been to the hospital the whole time. And that of course makes Fuko-chan the ghost of the school…

Well this episode was kind revealing. I just hope this series doesn’t turn out like Kanon, where everyone’s stories are revealed before the main characters… I won’t some more hints on Nagisa!!! That way I can build my guesses again…

*runs off to watch the first episodes again** I’ll get more clues!!!

Clannad Episode 3

This week we start of with the weird dream world. Doesn’t this look more and more like Kanon? We learn that the weird robot thing is actually made by the girl, who is apparently the only living person in that world. She kinda looks like Nagisa doesn’t she? Now we only have to figure out what the dream world means... I’m still not giving up on my idea that she is a ghost…




And on this episode we have a new cool guy. It was about time! Youhei tells Tomoya that the guy is actually Yoshino Yuusuke, a famous singer that stopped working a while ago.

And after Youhei used up all of his IQ points on remembering that, he comes up with the thought that the reason Tomoyo has been beating him up for the past 2 episodes is that she is actually a guy. Of course he gets beaten up again for his insult… and later on he gets the same treatment from Kyou when he and Tomoya stumble upon her cute little pig, eh no excuse me boor...

Is that thins supposed to be cute? Couldn’t they pick something else? I know cats and dogs were already taken by Kanon and Air but…

Fuko comes round again (spoiling the romantic mood for Nagisa and Tomoya! How will they get it going if they are constantly interrupts??) looking for her knife.
Tomoya gives it back to her, after some teasing, and she gives him one of the star wood things she’d been making. What a sweat present. Isn’t she just adorable? I wanna take her in as my little sister… kawai***

Nagisa luckily turned out ok after the previous episode fainting incident. (shouldn’t I be staring with this??). Tomoya and her start practicing on the opening speech Nagisa will go over for the theater club. She does have a hard time coming up with the right thing to say but she wouldn’t be our main girl if she didn’t make it in the end…
Sadly just as they finish of with the beautiful intro to the club they notice that all the fliers they put up were taken down since they didn’t get the councils permission for the club. The episode ends with Nagisa going to the councils office, probably to get lectured. I hope she’ll be ok…

And just couse i found it funny....

PS: I probably should have said this before but since my entries are summaries of the episodes there are bound to be SPOILERS! My friend noticed that I never state it anywhere. I hope I didn’t spoil the fun for anyone. And for future references: whatever I say that is not part of the summary is my own opinion or idea, it may or may not have anything to do with the truth. It’s not my fault if I turn out to guess right one or two things (it’s my super smart brain)…

Clannad episode 2

Starting on where we left of last time… ok so the sparkles and the whacko speech isn’t something I can use to prove my speculations that Nagisa is a ghost or at least an alien or something. After Tomoya asks her what she was talking about she tells him that she was rehearsing a play… (He bought it but I won’t! It’s a Key animation production! She has to be weird!!!)

And here we have that scary girl again. She kinda reminds me of Ayu Ayu from Kanon. Didn’t every episode start with her mumbling??) And we can see that the thing moving in the snow on the opening is actually a robot that girl made…

Well starting the next day, Tomoya almost gets hit by a bike (that Kyou is driving) poor Youhei get bitten half way to death by Tomoyo… Tomoya gets threatened by Kyou about revealing her secret of having a bike, then implies she is bisexual then gets beaten some more for his stupid comment. Yeah the usual staff…

On his way to class Tomoya meats some guys that are talking about the ghost of a girl that got hit by a car but appears around school lately. Apparently the ghost looks like a normal girl, but it gives something to the people it meats that give them bad luck. (Maybe it’s Nagisa…crazy speculations again…)

Then he meets some more weird girls… Kotomi Ichinose, a girl that hangs around in the library. Tomoya caches her trying to cut the page of one of the books she was reading and when he stops her she offers him some of her bento… (Yeah I know there probably isn’t a single normal character in this series… but that’s a good thing…)

Then he meets Fuko Ibuki, an underclassman. Tomoya finds her trying to make a star using some kind of wood and a knife… she is really cute >_<

I noticed her from the op, I really like the way she wears her uniform, long sleeves and all…

Somewhere near the end of the day Youhei comments on Tomoya getting involved with club activates after he sees him hanging some fliers that Nagisa made to reopen the theater club. Apparently Tomoya doesn’t like club activates and had never joined one before. Of course Youhei pisses him off and conveniently Nagisa is there to see.

Later on Tomoya tells her that he was on the basketball team but he quitted so Nagisa proposes to him to join her for a game after school the next day.

Since the next day is Saturday and school runs for only a few hours Tomoya decides to skip his classes and his basketball date with Nagisa. But later on when he notices that it’s raining he decides to go and make sure that the poor girl isn’t waiting for him in the rain. Which she is… socked wet and cold. Tomoya offers her his jacket and scolds her for waiting for him in the rain. But Nagisa tells him that she didn’t want him to come and not find her here, and she then asks him to saw her one of his shoots.





Tomoya takes position but never throws the ball. He falls on his feet saying that he can’t shoot because he can’t lift his hand above his shoulder. Apparently his father and him had a fight and Tomoya got hit (or more likely his father hit him… it would explain why Tomoya hates him) and his hand never fully healed. Nagisa realizes that she had asked him something painful and as she tries to back away she lost consciousness and faints.

PS: Yay there are more dango on this episode. Aint they cute??? Nagisa likes them too....
